The Situation: Increasingly Complex Events
More events mean more complexity. According to Andreas Eigner, marketing cloud consultant for PIERER Innovation, "One of our biggest pain points was not having one event platform that is integrated into our internal CRM system." He points to challenges with managing both multiple marketing teams and diverse customer data silos. "We have events that have 50 dealerships that each bring 10 bikes. We need to manage that on the backend for staff and the frontend for customers."

Compliance
"Data privacy is a huge topic in Europe," says Eigner. "We're a global company. We use multiple tools across countries. As a result, our IT landscape was all over the place. Headquarters didn't know what tools were in place."
Complexity
Creating a successful event strategy requires the cooperation of multiple third-party providers, each of which operates differently. As noted by Eigner, "There's no one-size-fits-all solution. We have to create the event, onboard the partner, give them access to the platform, and integrate their payment accounts."

"Slot booking is a huge pain point," says Eigner. "We have riding events where people want to book slots for the bikes in advance. This makes managing calendars and time slots a priority."

Eigner notes that it's also possible to create and customize events on the fly. "We can create an event and embed it on our website using an iframe, then add CSS code so that the embed looks like it belongs on the website."
Timeslot booking
Idloom also makes it possible to manage time slot booking directly in the admin interface. "With brands now bringing seven different models and four bikes for each model, bikes have to be selectable for a specific time slot," says Eigner.
